A glimpse into my world

Tonight, tonight! June 29, 2007

Tonight is the night for our premier! The theater we’ve been practising for like crazy these last few weeks is now having it’s first real performance, in two hours!!
It feels quite unreal acctually. I am still at home in my sweaters and I just had a nice bowl of strawberries, sugar and milk and my stomach is almost too full for me to handle. But I guess the reality feeling will arrive soon, at least when we can hear the audience waiting =)

So if you want to see me dancing a little on stage these coming weeks, check out the schedule for our performances somewhere on the web. You can for instance google: porkala stoj, and I think you’ll find it.

Well, now I have to drive off, so there will be enough time for make up and hair-dos!

26 years ago my big brother was born.
For 23 years I have had the pleasure of being his little sister.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

It’s 1 am and I cannot sleep. Instead of just rolling in my bed I decided to listen to our new cd, For the Children, for the first time. And it is so good!!! I just have to say it! I love it!
We are not professionals, but it still sounds really good! And even though I’ve heard these songs, it seems like a million times, they still move me. Wow!

Now. If you want to hear what it sounds like when people from Turku UMC come together, bring their music and worship God, let me know and I can fix you a cd for the wonderful price of 20€! The income goes to our mission project in Kiambu, Kenya.

Can there be a happier and more beautiful woman than this!

This weekend Kitte and Armando got married and it was the most perfect wedding I’ve ever been to. Everything was so natural and relaxed, yet there was no doubt that it was a big celebration.

I started wondering why it is that my emotions couldn’t decide who’s turn it was to come to life. And I guess it is this: it was so right! They are really ment to be together and that cannot be hidden. That touches me and tears come to my eyes because it is so beautiful and precious and than I smile and laugh because it makes me so happy and fills me with peace. Everything is as it should be.

I wish you both the best of happiness and luck. May God bless you!

Going to miss you though…

The next step June 7, 2007

The Finnish united methodist church is this week gathering to its annual conference in Grankulla. The theme for the conference is “Our next step”.
It seems like many agree that something must be done. We need a wake-up call in the church and we must start acting now and not tomorrow. We need to start thinking about reaching out to people and do some warfare (I hope it’s the right word) against evil. It’s not enough to take care of the people who already are a part of our church. We need to step up and step out.

Jesus said: Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.
Lord, if it’s you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.
Come, he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Now I am back in Ingå and this is where I’ll stay most of the time the whole summer. Tonight I’m going to drive to Åbo to get my things but after that it’s Ingå for the whole coin =)

My stomach is full, because today I’ve visited three high school graduates at their parties. They all look so beautiful and seem so full of life and joy! Just as they’re supposed to! My good friend Kiia-Lotta acctually wrote the best paper in the long swedish course of all students this year! How about that!!
