I’ve taken up the reading of a book I started with in September and once again I am astonished by how good this book really is. It is O. Hallesby’s book Från bönens värld, “From the World of Prayer”.
This book is written in the sixties but it seems it is still as accurate as it must have been then. I have not read many pages but I can tell you, this is a book worth reading!! It has already opened my eyes a little for what prayer is all about. And it is so encouraging! Me like!

Blessings from above October 17, 2007
I have many times thought about how dangerous we actually are. Or how dangerous we could be for the enemy if we would fully let God have his way in us. I can sense it in myself that there are so many things he could use me for, if I only would give him the permission. I hope I will do so.
In myself I don’t have much to offer. But with God all things are possible. And I am also an image of God, so I must be like him in some way.
Today theese thoughts came to me again when I heard a song, an incredably beautiful song written by my best friend. And I just kept thinking “he is so blessed, so anointed”.
So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came upon David in power.
When we have to Holy Spirit, He will work through us and the result will be astonishing. We will be co-creators with God and He will take us to hights we cannot even dream of. Isn’t that amazing! Exiting!
Here I am Lord. Use me.

The Wake Up October 10, 2007
I didn’t sleep well tonight. Actually, I didn’t sleep well the night before that either. I have bad dreams where I am haunted or other wise just in a bad spot and everything goes wrong. And so my day starts all wrong and it might take many hours before I am out of my dream reality.
But today I got a really nice wake up! And so it doesn’t matter that I didn’t sleep well. I am looking forward to what this day might bring along. I feel like David, like a conqueror. Today, it will be a good day!
Thank you.
Psalm 108
A song. A psalm of David.
My heart is steadfast, O God;
I will sing and make music with all my soul.
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory be over all the earth.
And yes, I have found my bike…
The importance of being dressed October 3, 2007
Okay, this post is not as bad as the headline might let you think.
I simply realised today how important clothes are, what a difference thay can make.
This week I’ve been working at home writing on a paper. I have found it hard to get started with the writing and I keep doing all kinds of things so that I wouldn’t have to write. And as I am only at home I don’t care what I where, and so I usually have something very comfortable on, and therefore also not so fancy…
But today I got a good start on the day. I woke up just a bit earlier and decided that this is going to be a good day and I will be very effective, and I so far I have done a good job. One thing that has helped me though, is that i put on really nice clothes! I look like I could go to work or hold a presentation at some company, well maybe not that, but this is so far from a PJ! And now, looking like this, I cannot just walk around doing nothing, I have to “honour” the clothes and work like I’m dressed! If you look alert, you will feel alert!
Here are some other tips on how to get a paper written:
1. Go to bed
2. Wake up
3. Eat
4. Pray
5. Turn off the music
6. Start writing on anything you have something to say, even though you might not get a whole chapter done
7. Do quick check on all your e-mail, facebook, blog, myspace etc. before starting so you know they are under control and you are not missing anything but can feel free to write…
8. Skip unnecessary lectures and meetings
9. Go for a run
10. Do someting crazy when you are done
